Here are a few ideas that come to mind that we’ll be making to our Salesforce system, when Salesforce Chatter becomes generally available (2010):
- New Leads: We will have Chatter post to the Feed when a new lead is created. This will enable anyone in the company who may know the lead or someone at the company to announce this on the Lead Feed.
- New Opportunities: Post to the feed when a new opportunity is created, for the same reason as the lead.
- Big Deal: Post to the feed every time an opp amount is greater than $99,999.
- Opportunity Closed Won: Post to the feed every time a new opp is won to encourage celebration & competition.
- Late Invoices: Post to the feed every time an invoice is over 45 days late to rally support.
- Projects: Post to the feed every time a project issue is created to rally support.
- Cases: Post to the feed every time a customer escalates more than 2 cases to Tier II in 1 week.
- Groups: We’ll setup Groups for each department and each functional area in our company, including committees like our Giving Back / Non-Profit committee.
- Work Flow Rules: Add managers to a Chatter stream with work flow rules.
