Add Dashboard Snapshot of Any Dashboard to Any Object

The Force.com platform continues to evolve into a more and more viable medium to develop fast and amazing business process management results. Generally the more you use an application, the more you get out of it. However, there is a lot to gain also from stepping back and analyzing the data… which is done with Dashboards on Force.com. One can quickly answer questions such as:

• How much revenue resulted from the trade show we attended last quarter? (Marketing Dashboard)
• How well is a new product being received this year to date? (Products Dashboard)
• Which sales people are on the wall of fame (and wall of shame)? (Opportunities Dashboard)
• Which key accounts are being neglected? (Accounts Dashboard)
• Which key relationships are being neglected (Contacts Dashboard)
• Which customers are becoming increasingly disatisfied? (Support Dashboard)

The problem is, we don’t live in Dashboards. We, as users, live within the tabular modules themselves (ie: Accounts, Contacts, Opportunities), yet only the Home Tab allows a Dashboard Snapshot on the top third of the page layout.

Therefore, we propose a fairly simple update to the Force.com platform, to “Add Dashboard Snapshot of any Dashboard to any Object“. <— So, won’t you please click on that link and vote for this elegant, yet powerful idea!
