It was suspected that roughly 40% of over 100,000 lead records in Salesforce.com were duplicates.
To build effective campaigns in Silverpop (Vtrenz), various records of data needed to be normalized, rendering the data consistent. For instance, to make all accounts of “California, CA, Cali” to “California”.
ForceBrain had to achieve this without requiring iRise to license any expensive tools, such as DemandTools.

Solution

ForceBrain defined duplicate vs. survivor criteria and fields to copy to survivor.
ForceBrain acquired limited read-only API access to export a copy of over 100,000 lead records.
ForceBrain normalized all data to an ISO2 standard.
ForceBrain utilized the merge API to remove duplicate records.
ForceBrain worked with iRise on an iterative approval process to review the dataset.
